Teravor Monitor ("Teravor", "we", "us") is operated by Teravor, a sole proprietorship based in the EU. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. No tricks.
What we collect
- Account data: email address, hashed password, organization name, optional billing contact.
- Monitor configuration: the URLs, hostnames, ports, and assertions you ask us to check.
- Check results:latency, status codes, and pass/fail records produced by our probes. Retention follows your plan's history window (7 days on Free, up to 1 year on Business).
- Billing data: processed entirely by Whop; we store your subscription status and a reference ID, not your card.
- Product analytics: aggregated page-view and feature-usage data, stored in our own database. No third-party ad or tracking pixels.
- Support correspondence: emails you send us are stored with the account.
What we don't collect
- We don't sell your data. There is no data-broker pipeline here.
- We don't run third-party advertising, fingerprinting, or retargeting scripts.
- We don't store HTTP response bodies by default — only the fields your monitor asserts on.
Sub-processors
These are the companies that help us run the service. Each has its own privacy terms.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — hosting for app, database, and probe nodes.
- Whop Inc. — billing, checkout, and subscription management.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — DNS and edge caching for the marketing site and status pages.
- Self-hosted Postfix relay — outbound email from our own Hetzner VM. No third-party mail vendor is involved.
- Sentry — application error reporting. IP addresses are trimmed.
How we use data
- To run the checks you configure and deliver alerts to the channels you pick.
- To render status pages you publish.
- To bill your subscription and respond to support requests.
- To detect abuse (automated scraping, flooding a third-party with checks).
Your rights
If you're in the EU/UK, GDPR applies. You can export or delete all your data at any time from your account, or by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
Retention
- Account data: kept until you close the account, then deleted within 30 days.
- Check results: per plan retention window (7 days to 1 year).
- Billing records: 10 years (tax law).
- Support emails: 2 years.
Security
Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms. Database is encrypted at rest, traffic is TLS-only. Backups are encrypted and stored off-provider. We follow standard practices; we haven't yet been audited under SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and we'll say so plainly until we are.
